Sophie is a warm, positive and driven Physiotherapist who places patient care at the centre of everything she does. She graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Master of Physiotherapy Practice, and her background as a high-level gymnast has given her first-hand experience in managing injury and recovery. This personal journey has shaped her deep understanding of the challenges of pain, rehabilitation and performance.

As the Clinical Pilates Lead at Eastside Physio + Co, Sophie has developed extensive expertise in tailoring Pilates programs to support rehabilitation and long-term health. She is passionate about using Clinical Pilates to help patients build strength, stability and confidence, whether they are just beginning their fitness journey or working towards more advanced goals.

Sophie has a strong clinical focus on complex presentations involving the hip, pelvis and low back, as well as hypermobility and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. She also works closely with patients managing chronic fatigue and POTS, providing exercise rehabilitation that balances pacing, gentle strengthening and energy conservation. Her approach ensures patients can safely rebuild function and confidence without worsening their symptoms.

By combining hands-on therapy with targeted exercise and a holistic understanding of the body, Sophie helps her patients reduce pain, build resilience and return to the activities that matter most.

 

Outside of work, Sophie loves discovering new cafes and wine bars, cheering on the Melbourne Demons, and escaping the city for a weekend of camping.
