Rosie Phelan

SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Special interests:

Rosie completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Northumbria University in 2018, having previously studied Health Sciences in Carlow, Ireland. She has worked across private practice and hospital settings in Australia, Ireland and the U.K.

Rosie has a strong background in orthopaedic rehabilitation, managing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and post-operative presentations including joint replacement, spinal fusion and ligament reconstruction. This experience across multiple healthcare systems has given her a practical, adaptable approach to getting patients back on track.

Back, hip and groin pain are areas Rosie sees regularly. For patients dealing with persistent or recurring pain, she looks beyond the sore spot to assess how the whole body is moving, loading and contributing to the problem. Her goal is to give you a clear explanation of what's driving your symptoms and a structured plan to address it.

Rosie combines hands-on treatment with detailed movement assessment and targeted exercise prescription. Whether you need to get back to running, return to sport after an ACL reconstruction, or simply move without pain, your program is built around where you need to get to.

Rosie is trained in both APPI and DMA Clinical Pilates and uses reformer and mat-based Pilates as a core part of her treatment and rehabilitation programs. She works with patients recovering from injury, managing persistent pain, or looking to build strength and control for long-term results. Rosie runs Clinical Pilates sessions at Eastside Physio + Co and can integrate Pilates into your rehab plan or work with you on movement and conditioning goals as a standalone program.

Rosie also has a clinical interest in sports-related concussion. She is trained in the assessment and management of persistent concussion symptoms, supporting patients through a safe and structured return to sport, work and daily life.

She is currently completing her ASCA Level 1 in Strength and Conditioning. Outside the clinic, Rosie enjoys playing Gaelic football, practising Pilates and trying her hand at sports photography.
