Nicola Gilevitis

Nicola completed her Bachelor of Applied Science and Masters of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University.  She enjoys working with a variety of clients ranging from those with sporting injuries right through to people looking to improve pain and function for everyday life.

Nicola has a particular interest in helping patients with knee pain, whether it's patella discomfort in her younger clients or addressing knee arthritis in those in middle and later stages of life. She takes pride in facilitating pain reduction for her patients before guiding them through exercise therapy for long-lasting results.


Nicola is experienced in treating back injuries and spinal pain including work related injuries and managing a safe return to work process for her patients.  

For her, witnessing individuals with back pain reintegrate into their regular everyday lives post treatment is the most rewarding aspect of her work. Nicola explains that the key step of a successful rehabilitation is finding the root cause of pain to tailor treatments uniquely to each individual. If you haven't achieved lasting pain relief for your back or spine injury, Nicola is a great person to see.   


Nicola's approach extends to incorporating clinical pilates into her practice, utilising this method to help patients achieve their individual goals effectively. She believes in using the benefits of clinical pilates to enhance strength, flexibility, and overall well-being, creating a holistic path to recovery for her patients. Nicola also takes seniors strength and balance classes, targeted to improve functional balance and reduce risk of falls for those in the community. She has presented on this topic to community groups and is passionate about improving the quality of life through exercise for her senior patients. 

Nicola has further increased her skill set by completing a comprehensive strength training course. This ensures her patients are set up well for long term management and injury prevention. 


​Outside of work, Nicola enjoys staying active by doing pilates classes with her friends and is always on the hunt for the best food and coffee around Melbourne.
