James Morrison

SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Special interests:
  • Hip and groin pain

  • Shoulder injuries

  • Sporting injuries

James graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science and then completed his Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney in 2014. Since graduating, James has gained valuable experience working in musculoskeletal private practice and alongside amateur sporting clubs within Melbourne and London.

James believes in a person-centred hands-on approach and will work with you to form a clear management plan enabling you to achieve your goals. Passionate about providing long term solutions for injury management, James aims to assess the body as a whole and address the contributing factors to an injury and not just the presenting symptoms.

James has a particular interest in hip and groin pain including femoral-acetabular impingement (FAI), adductor, gluteal and bursa pain. James has also completed post-graduate training in shoulder pain management which has provided him the skills to help those suffering from frozen shoulder, subacromial and rotator cuff related shoulder pain.

James has expanded his skill set through completion of external courses in dry needling, APPI matwork and equipment pilates, as well as focused hip, shoulder, running and strength and conditioning courses. He was also the senior physiotherapist for amateur football clubs at De La Salle and Haileybury football clubs.

Patients under James's care benefit not just from his expertise but also from his compassionate and goal-oriented approach to therapy.

Outside his professional realm James enjoys spending time with his young daughter, going to the coast and keeping fit.
